Mother's Day

Only One Mother
Hundreds of stars in the pretty sky,
Hundreds of shells on the shore together,
Hundreds of birds that go singing by,
Hundreds of lambs in the sunny weather.
Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
But only one mother the world wide over.

My mom and I in 1978.

My 1st birthday in 1978 with my mom.

A cellphone picture of me and my boys.

Me and my boys shot by Butterfly Kiss Photography.

My youngest fell asleep on me while sucking his thumb... cutie. This was several years ago.

Me and my oldest. Silly kid.

I've had the honor of photographing many moms over the last few years.

We were doing a couple shoot when these 2 little cuties came running out to be in a few shot. Couldn't refuse them.

And Grandma's too...
While we honor all our mothers
with words of love and praise.
While we tell about their goodness
and their kind and loving ways.
We should also think of Grandma,
she's a mother too, you see....
For she mothered my dear mother
as my mother mothers me.

Mother, artist, activist, ourdoorist. I enjoy everything from hiking, camping, and traveling to Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, power lifting, and clothes shopping. I'm not ashamed of the lattes I'm addicted to nor the selfies I take nor of my social awkwardness.
